Rasam (English: Taste) is a 2015 Malayalam-language Indian feature film based on food, tastes, restaurants and catering services. The film was directed and co-written by Rajeev Nath. Nedumudi Venu, Rajeev Nath and Sudip Kumar co-written the screenplay of the story written by Sudip.[1] It stars Indrajith Sukumaran in lead alongside Nedumudi Venu, Devan and Varuna Shetty in supporting roles. Mohanlal had cameo appearance as himself.

The movie ‘John Honai’ derives its title from the character John Honai played by Rizabava in the super hit movie ‘In Harihar Nagar’. In ‘John Honai’, John and Honai are two different characters. The movie revolves around the life of John (‘Karmayodha’ fame Arjun). John tries hard to free himself from the heavy debts left behind by his father. Malayalam Full Movie 2016 | Oru New Generation Pani | Malayalam New Movies 2016 full Movie
Oru New Generation Pani malayalam movie directed by debutante Sankar Narayan featuring Biyon Jemini and Deepthi in lead role has started rolling at Thiruvanathapuram. Produced by Sajeeb B under the banner S & S Creations, the movie is blessed with the presence of Devan, Thalaivasal Vijay, Anil Murali, Saju Kodiyan, Narayankutty, Jaffer Idukki, Shaan, Sajimon, Munshi Baiju, Marvin, Manju Raghav and Subbalakhsmi. The camera is being helmed by Rajiv Vijay.

The film starts off with a bike race where Karthik (Beyon Gemini) and his friends are getting ready for a huge competition that is up and coming. There is a whole lot of jubilation with Karthik scoring real well, and the narrator announces that the heroine of the tale has been named Induja (Deepthi).

Folks, that's all that you get to see of the hero in this film, and Induja takes over the reins of the film, right after the initial scene. Well, here is a girl who has won a reality show on television and thereby a flat as well, and whom we are told is prone to believing even the nastiest scams on the internet.

Which is perhaps why, she accepts a job from some imaginary television channel, and agrees to interview the business tycoon Menon (Devan), who takes an immediate liking towards the pretty lass. Menon doesn't think twice before appointing her as his personal secretary, much to the chagrin of his previous assistant (Geetha Vijayan).

When a few intimate morphed pics of Induja and Menon start doing the rounds, Menon sees red and fires her. Induja swears to find the culprits behind the herinous act, while her mother gets murdered in the elevator at Menon's office.

As much as all this sounds confounding, 'Oru New Generation Pani' is one of the most unintentionally funny films that I have watched in recent times. Almost all the scenes and sequences in it have been carried out with such tackiness that it is only with sheer astonishment that you will be able to sit through them.

And the nerve to name the film as one that caters to the new generation has to be specially admired. One only has to take one sharp look at the shot sequences in it to realize, that 'Oru New Generation Pani' is anything but new gen.

'Oru New Generation Pani' is uninvolving to the core, and the intricacy with which it finally breaks the suspense is the final nail on its coffin. This is a frustrating watch, whichever way you look at it, and is a misguided piece of work from the word 'go'.

What do I say about the actors in the film, when all I can feel is compassion for artistes like Beyon and Devan who put on a brave face and stride bravely through the catastrophe that they have landed themselves in. As for the leading actress Deepthi, this is perhaps not the kind of woman oriented film that would have launched her into stardom. Not a word on the technical aspects of the film, Sir!

Very occasionally does a movie come along that almost makes you vow to stay off the screens for a few weeks, and this year, the one has finally arrived. I'd gladly go ahead with a no-star rating for this one, had it not been for a technical glitch that prevents me from doing so!

Rani (Rachana Narayanankutty), is an orphan girl who finds life anything but a bed of roses. She was brought up by three sex workers who are known by her native names.When Rani grows up she is unable to shrug off her history. People continue to tag her in an undesirable manner and her efforts to lead a normal life runs into roadblocks galore. A frustrated Rani decides that she will have to find a way out of her pestering troubles. Finally she decides to be a bit audacious and she starts snatching chains and looting money from people who attempts to exploit her sexually.

Rani does manage to keep things on the rail by resorting to her petty criminal acts. Her three ‘ step mothers’ also benefit from Rani’s deeds.Ameer (Shekhar Menon) is an immensely rich guy who is physically handicapped. The bloated man is on the look out for a bride but his appearance and overweight prove major hurdles in his pursuit .The paths of Ameer and Rani who belong to different strata of the society criss cross. Both of them find each other a great source of solace and comfort.

Things take a quirky turn as a murder happens and matters get into a tangle of sorts. The film nosedives as it digresses and goes into unnecessary detailing . It strives to be a murder mystery but loses focus beyond a point. Rani’s and Ameer’s life does provide some sparks here and there. The issues in the lives of prostitutes are only superficially dealt with.

Rachana Narayanankutty is the strong point of the movie and she does give a very good account of herself in her usual style. Shekhar Menon isn’t particularly good but makes his presence felt. The other cast including Sreejith Ravi, Vijay, Zeenath etc. have put in decent performances as well. The songs are just about OK while the background score adds to the mood of the film.

Kanthari has good intentions and has its moments as well. Writer director Ajmal’s efforts prove pedestrian at best. A women centric movie that deals with a weighty theme would have passed the muster.
