Billa is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language gangster film directed by R. Krishnamurthy and produced by Suresh Balaje. The film stars Rajinikanth, Sripriya, K. Balaji, Major Sundarrajan, R. S. Manohar, Thengai Srinivasan and A. V. M. Rajan. It was a remake of Don, a 1978 Hindi film written by Salim-Javed and starring Amitabh Bachchan. The film revolves around Billa (Rajinikanth), a feared Mafia don in Madras, who is fatally wounded during an encounter with the police. Wanting to uncover Billa's accomplices, the police commissioner Alexander (K. Balaji) trains a lookalike village bumpkin Rajappa (also Rajinikanth) to pose as Billa and infiltrate the gang. The rest of the film deals with how Rajappa learns more about Billa's gang, and tries to get all of them arrested.

A group of royal family people are very much disappointed by the amendment of democratic India where there no more kingdoms and kings shall exist. They follow 26 January as a black day as the democratic republic was formed against kingdoms. To get back the provinces and monarchy rule back to them, all take owe with Narendra Bhupathy a physically challenged King and his son Ilayaraja Bhupathy as their leaders. They support anti-social elements from foreign nations for getting weapons from them to create chaos in the country.

Natesan (K. Bhagyaraj) is a poor auto-rickshaw driver who takes care of orphan children at his home. He manages to feed and educate the children with the meagre amount he earns and does not accept any kind of help from anybody. Meenakshi is a press reporter for a magazine named 'Bakirangam' which has a very poor circulation. To improve its flow, the magazine's Editor (Janagaraj)) insists her to interview a rapist who is capable of describing a rape point by point. Meenakshi scares to do the assignment but accepts as she has no other go. Natesan visits 'Bakirangam' office to advertise for rental home and he is diverted to Meenakshi's cabin. Meenakshi misunderstands him to be the rapist and scares for whatever he looks and does and at once stage she shouts for help. Angried Natesan explains who he is and why he has come and Meenakshi apologises for her misunderstanding. Meenakshi asks his home for rent but demands that no children to be present as it is big disturbance for her work in the house where she is staying. Natesan lies to her that no children is present in the house as he needs a tenant immediately for the rent due to his financial situation. Meenakshi visits the house and gets irritated on the mess inside the place but Natesan manages to grab advance amount from her. Meenakshi finds there are lot of children in the home and demands him the money she gave. But Natasen says since he did not give receipt for the amount she gave as advance, she cannot claim her money back and because of this she stays unwillingly in that house.

Tik! Tik! Tik! is a 1981 Tamil-language Indian Murder Mystery Film directed by P. Bharathiraja for producer Prakash R.C, starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role supported by Madhavi, Swapna and Radha.
Sherley (Sarika) is a model who returns to Chennai after a modeling stint abroad. She is received by the modeling agency and is soon drugged and operated upon. Her dead body is soon found.

Dileep (Kamal Haasan) is a photographer working for a newspaper run by Lakshmi Narayanan (Thengai Srinivasan). He is a photographer in a beauty pageant run by a rich industrialist, Oberoi (Shamasundar L. Asrani), which was won by Sharadha, Swapna and Radha (Madhavi, Radha and Swapna). He becomes professionally involved with Radha and Swapna while romantically involved with Sharadha. Soon Swapna’s deadbody turns up and he becomes the main suspect in the murder investigation and is on the run from police. As his face is plastered in wanted ads all over the city and police watching Sharadha’s house, he goes to meet Radha.

Radha, who always considered Dileep as her brother as he was always nice to her, helps him and lets him stay in her apartment. The next morning, when Dileep wakes up and turn on the tap, the water is bloody red and he hears screaming coming from the apartment water tank. He goes to investigate when a group of people are gathered around the tank and is shocked to find Radha’s bloody body inside the tank. Soon people recognize him from the wanted ad and mistakenly think that he murdered Radha. He is once again on the run from police for the murders.

He starts to investigate the murders and deduce that the only thing the two girls had in common, apart from him, was the modeling agency. When he secretively meets up with Sharadha, he finds a small incision on her body. Remembering that the other two girls had the same incision, he questions her. Although she doesn’t remember how she got it, she remembers that she didn’t have one before she left on a photo shoot abroad for the agency. She also finds it strange that she was unconscious for a few hours during the shoot but cannot remember what happened.

They eventually find out that Oberoi, has a nefarious business through his modeling agency. He drugs the models during the photo shoot abroad, operates them and smuggles diamonds into India using their bodies. When the models return to India, they again drug the model and take it out and kill the girl.

Dileep gets captured by Oberoi’s goons but with the help of his editor and his girlfriend, he has already got the truth out. Before Oberoi can kill Dileep, they hear the police siren coming towards him. Oberoi, an obsessive diamond collector, rather than get caught and go to prison, eats his own diamonds and commits suicide.
