Varalaru: History Of Godfather (English: Biography: History Of Godfather) is a 2006 Indian Tamil action family drama written and directed by K. S. Ravikumar. The film stars Ajith Kumar in a triple role as a father and his two sons, alongside Asin and Kanika. Ramesh Khanna, Suman Setty, Sujatha and M. S. Baskar play other supporting roles. The film's soundtrack and score were composed by A. R. Rahman. This movie has been remade in Kannada, titled Godfather starring Upendra, Soundarya Jayamala & Catherine Tresa. Prior to release, the film was known by its original title Godfather, but following the Government of Tamil Nadu's motion to exempt tax on films titled in Tamil in 2006, the film's title was changed. After two years of production, the film released on 20 October 2006 and emerged as the biggest grosser of the year,collecting ₹65 crore at the box office, which is now worth over ₹153 crore.

Kadhal Kottai ("The Castle of Love") is a 1996 Tamil-language Indian epistolary romance film directed by Agathiyan, in which Ajith Kumar and Devayani play lead roles, apart from Heera Rajgopal, Thalaivasal Vijay, and Karan who played important roles.

The film was a major commercial success at the box office and also won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil, the National Film Award for Best Direction as well as the National Film Award for Best Screenplay for Agathiyan. Citizen is a 2001 Tamil film directed by Saravana Subbiah and produced by S. S. Chakravarthy. A district collector, a judge, and a police official are all kidnapped in broad daylight. The kidnapper cocking-a-snook at the establishment, calling himself 'Citizen' and appearing in different disguises to get at his targets. C.B.I. officer Sarojini (Nagma) finally traces the common factor among the kidnapped trio to the fictional hamlet of Athippatti, consisting of fishermen. But to her surprise both the village and its 690 odd inhabitants seemed to have been wiped away from the face of the official gazette maps. The diggings tell a story of a mass massacre that must have taken place about a couple of decades back. 'Citizen' is finally apprehended. He comes out with his story of the gory happenings at Athippatti and how he, as a little boy, had been the sole survivor of the nightmare that gripped the village that day from the map of India, twenty years back. The entire village was wiped off including women and children by the three kidnapped officials because of their greed for power and money. Ajith wants the citizenship of the three government officials revoked including their families as a punishment for their atrocities to the inhabitants of Athippatti.

Villain is a 2002 Tamil film directed by K. S. Ravikumar and produced by S. S. Chakravarthy. The film stars Ajith Kumar in a dual role while Meena and Kiran play female leads. Sujatha, Fesi Vijayan, Karunaas and Ramesh Khanna appear in other significant roles, while Vidyasagar composed the score and soundtrack for the film.

It opened to positive reviews and became a major box office success among Deepavali releases of 2002, with Ajith's performance leading to his second Filmfare Award for Best Actor

Vasu (Ajith), a final year college student is happy go lucky. But he is forced to contest elections in the college after being persuaded by his friends (Venkat Prabhu and Arun). He, however, incurs the wrath of the local MLA Varadharajan (Charanraj), whose son, studying in the same college, also contests the elections.

In the course of events, the MLA's gang attacks Vasu and his friends. It's here that Vasu's father (Vijayakumar), a tea shop owner, advises the students to take a plunge in politics and teach the bad apples like Varadharajan a lesson. Taking cue from his words, Vasu does indeed take the plunge in politics with the backing of college students and even files nomination for the Assembly election in Kumbakonam constituency. Varadharajan is naturally annoyed and angry at the presumptuousness of Vasu and tells him to back off from the elections. But a relentless Vasu goes ahead with his plans. The rest is a sequence of events by which Vasu wins the admiration of masses and succeeds in getting elected as a MLA.

Unfortunately, Varadharajan, unable to digest the defeat, plays a trick and burns a primary school and Vasu is blamed for the death of innocent children. He gets sentenced to seven years rigorous imprisonment. After serving the term, Vasu comes out of prison only to take revenge on Varadharajan. It's a happy ending with Vasu holding the hands of his lover Bhuvana.
